GTA 6 Trailers

Every official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer Rockstar has released — and the records they shattered along the way.

Trailer 1 — December 2023

Grand Theft Auto VI — Trailer 1 (Rockstar Games, official)

The first official trailer arrived in December 2023 — actually a day early, after it leaked online and Rockstar pushed it out ahead of schedule. Set to Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road," it confirmed the long-rumored return to Vice City, the modern-day setting, and our first look at protagonists Lucia and Jason. It immediately became the most-viewed video game reveal trailer in YouTube history, drawing over 90 million views in 24 hours and setting multiple Guinness World Records.

Trailer 2 — May 2025

Rockstar surprise-dropped the second trailer in May 2025, just days after announcing a delay. Captured on PlayStation 5, it gave a fuller look at Vice City and the surrounding state of Leonida, fleshed out the Jason-and-Lucia story, and showed off the game's environments and cast. Rockstar called it the biggest video launch of all time, citing over 475 million views across all platforms in the first 24 hours.

When is GTA 6 Trailer 3?

Rockstar has not officially dated a third trailer. With marketing widely expected to ramp up heading into the November 19, 2026 launch, a Trailer 3 — potentially the first to show extensive real gameplay — has been heavily anticipated by the community, often expected to land around a Take-Two earnings window, where Rockstar has historically timed big reveals. The moment it drops, we'll add it here and it'll hit the news wire automatically.
